Testimony
There are many reasons why I
left Islam. I can not give all the reasons
since they are many. Here are the main reasons
summed up below:
1. The eternity of pain in hell, and there
is no way out, and this all for what!!? Is
it because some people did not see the proofs
of god’s existence? I think god did not
give importance to show the world real evidence
of his existence. And what remains from all
this is just words.. great words (he said)!!
Whereas there are great women and men who brought
to humanity their best works, whether it is
art, science, philosophy,...etc.
2. Science tells us about evolution of the
world and living beings which contradicts the
supernatural explanations given by religion.
3. I just do not understand the attitude of
Islam toward different arts. Islam prohibits
fine arts such as music, sculpture, painting,...etc.
and the reasons given by Islamic fundamentalists
can really be considered as a joke rather than
taking it seriously!!
4. The situation of Islam towards different
kinds of freedoms, such as freedom of thought,
religion, gathering (between men and women),
freedom to practice personal freedom without
harming other human beings such as private
relations between men and women, and the list
is so big to mention it here...
5. The very strange attitude that Islam takes
of narrowing the rights of women and limiting
their freedom... and Islam states clearly that
a man (by default) is higher degree than a
woman (el-kawama principle)!!
The list of reasons that make me be an atheist
is increasing and the age of supernatural explanations
for natural phenomena are sleeping away......zzz...zzz...
